Default price tier 🏷

Let’s set your default price tier first. Select the pencil icon to edit to present a dropdown menu. You’ll have the option to choose any one of your price tiers or ‘No default price tier’. If you choose one of your price tiers and select ‘update’, all buyers on Sellar who are not connected with you will now be able to start placing order requests. We’ll see how this looks from their perspective in the next guide.

Default days credit 🗓

Orders that come in via your default price tier are set to the offline terms payment type. You can, of course, assign this customer to SellarPay for all future orders (you’ll be able to find them near the top of your customer list displaying the ‘connection requested’ label).

You can set a default number of days credit. The customer ordering via your default price tier will see this during checkout. And whenever you’re confirming an order request via your default price tier, the Payment due date will be preset to a date in the future based on the default number of days you define. You’ll have the chance to adjust this before confirming the order if you wish.

Payment notes 📝

Sometimes you may wish to handle an order from a new customer differently the first time. This is where Payment notes come in handy. All customers on Sellar - new or existing - will see these during checkout. You can use these however you wish. We recommend explaining how payment will work for both new customers ordering for the first time and existing customer placing a repeat order.
