<aside> 🎓 In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
When a new customer has placed an order via your default price tier, the message banner at top of the page will be displayed. You’ll see all the usual information including delivery address
Using the order above as an example, let’s imagine the supplier is down to their last cask of Cosmos. They offer the customer to exchange if for a keg of their DIPA instead at the same price. With the new editing feature, this is super simple to do. Select the new edit button located within the order summary section.
On the edit screen that has now appeared, we’ll select pencil icon next to the corresponding line item. This will allow you to make an edit to this line item. Here, we’ll adjust the quantity and selected ‘update’. You can also adjust the price at this point if you wished. Or delete the item entirely.
Next, select ‘+ add item’ and begin typing the name of the product you’re looking to add. Add a price, then select ‘add’.
Select ‘Done’ and you’ll be prompted to add a comment to the order. This is a good opportunity to let the customer know their order has changed.
Now that your new customer’s first order has been dealt with, you can proceed to assign them terms. This can be done from the customer list as usual. Your new customer will likely be near the top of this list.
