We often get asked how to list products as ‘on sale’ or highlight have a short-date and therefore a reduced price. Also, how to draw attention to these products and drive sales with both existing customers and the wider Sellar Market.

Here’s how to do it:

1) Create a new Parent Product for the product that you want to put on sale

For example if you already have a Limoncello IPA setup in your availability list on Sellar, you would create a new Parent Product called “Limoncello (30% off) IPA”. You would add the same Badge Image and Cover image as the original product and the same allergens. In the description you may want to add some information about why the product is on sale. For example - “Short Shelf - 30/01/24”.

2) Add the Child Products that will be on sale to the new Parent Product

Follow the steps below for adding the discounted Child Products to the New Parent Product you created. The prices for these Child Products should be the discounted price.

3) Configure the layout availability list to highlight these products

You can edit the layout of your availability list so that the Sale or Short Shelf products are listed further up.

4) Add a banner to your availability list for extra visibility

Add a banner at the top of your availability list to draw attention to your Short Shelf products and/or sale
